that does not suggest to strengthen linkages:
Link the MTSP to the MDGs; gender and development; and headquarters to the
field. Link our work in protection to the one in education; children to the
PRSPs; and the human rights based approach to results. Link communities with
governments; relief with rehabilitation; and results to indicators. Link data
and decisions; reports to plans; and policies with action…
Every time I hear the call for more linkages, I cringe.
Of course everything is linked. Pick one piece from the bin and you find that
everything hangs together.
Either we have the full picture, or we don’t. And those who didn’t pay attention
shall be busy mending the links...
